We all have to start somewhere

and I started at the Fly Fishers in Milwaukee WI. Last Summer R.A. Beattie did a film featuring the finest shops and guide in the midwest such as the guys at Tight Lines in DePere and The Fly Fishers in Milwaukee. First is the Trailer and the second video is the spot Highlighting the Fly Fishers.

A good day gone bad.

The day was going good my shift was almost over then I tilt my head back and bam my SMith chambers go flying and hit the ground but this time sounded worse then other instances and sure enough...

time to call smith and get these fixed.

Feather Shortage

I'm sure most of you have heard by now that there is a growing feather shortage. Well it seems that there is a new group of people with a keen interest in the saddle hackles that we love so much and that group is women and hair dressers. Apparently it is now fashionable to put feathers in a woman's hair. I'll let the video show you.

My profile is finally up on their webpage. It's a little outdated seeing as how I have graduated and going on season 2 in Montana. BTW photo is courtesy of Hunter Dorn.

T minus 6 weeks!

I find it unreal how fast this winter has gone by and that it is already time for me to head west. Talked to my outfitter and I'll be headed west around the 12th of April just in time to hit the Simms spring opener on my way out there. I have also realized I will be in Montana for more time then I will be in Wisconsin. Never thought that would happen. Although this season, which is only the second season, may be my last one. I need to get my life going an either find a way to make this work year round or move on and move towards getting my career going in fisheries. It just sucks giving myself an ultimatum but it is necessary to get things rolling. But this season will be great. It will be about a month longer then the last one and I will hopefully be sharing it with my girl and get to show her why I love doing this so much. And with any Luck have some of it rub off onto her.
